The deity that assists the public
Enshrined in the Tenson-byou is Kyuten Ougen Raisei Fuka Tenson (Taoism’s highest deity of thunder). The Kantei-byou and the Ryuou-den are placed to the left of Tenson-byou, which is situated in the center. Originally, the three deities were housed together. However, the Ryuou-den was destroyed by a storm so they were brought to Tenson-byou. The sanctuary was lost during WWII but it was restored in 1975.
The Kantei-byou enshrines Guan Yu, a renowned person of the Sangokushi (the Annals of the Three Kingdoms in China). He is said to be a man of integrity and is now worshiped as a deity of business and commerce as well as a deity of war. Ryou-den is where the god of water and storm is enshrined.
