The secret behind the central door.
There are three doors, of which the middle one is exclusively for Confucius. It is opened yearly on the day of the Sekiten ritual. There is a path through the door that Confucius walks on and it passes Sekiryuhei as it leads to Taisei-den sanctum. At the Shiseimon Gate, a red-framed calligraphy reading, “Shiseibyou,” is displayed. The “Shiseibyou” calligraphy was provided by Tsai Hsueh-ni, a chairperson of the China Ryukyu Culture and Economy Association of Taiwan.
